Empower Badminton
Badminton is for everyone, not just a few
We are an inclusive club and take on players of all abilities regardless of sex, age, disability, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, religion or other beliefs. Membership of the club shall be open to anyone (who has a legal right to be in the UK) interested in playing badminton on application and subject to spaces available. We are working to expand our club sessions to encourage more players of disability to join and play badminton.
Launch Event
On Saturday 15thJuly at the Hertfordshire Sports Village, Play Badminton Club along with three other inclusive clubs - Herts Toppers, Canterbury Kings and Wimbledon Racquets and Fitness Club proudly launched Empower Badminton.
The overall long-term aim is to develop para-badminton at the grassroots level to inspire and provide a clear pathway for more para-badminton players to reach national and international competition levels.
Huge thank you to Vijay Behl, Shagufta Herwitker, and Waseem Herwitker for representing our Club at the launch event.
Regular Session
Sunday afternoon 2pm to 4pm
St Helen’s School, Green Lane, Northwood, HA6 1AF
Cost: £6 per person per session
Session is open to all abilities for anyone aged 18+ years.
Bring your own racquet and a water bottle to stay hydrated. We provide the shuttles.
