Play Badminton Club is proud to support Badminton England’s #theBigHit campaign.
The Big Hit forms part of Badminton England’s ‘The Time is Now’ campaign, which focuses on encouraging members back onto court while showcasing the sport to potential new players, and highlighting the great work employed by clubs across the country in order to reopen in the wake of the pandemic.
During #theBigHit Week (from Monday 13th September to Sunday 19th September), facilities up and down England open their doors with access to a range of family events, outdoor badminton tournaments, social evenings, and even just the chance to hit a shuttlecock with a friend.
Play Badminton Club is pleased to have played its part of this initiative by Badminton England.
We hosted a Come & Try Session along with Para Badminton session on Wed 15th Sept from 8pm to 10pm at St Helen’s School, Green Lane, Northwood, HA6 1AF.
During the evening session, we held doubles games as well as wheelchair badminton demos and games.
A huge thank you to Aces Wheelchair Badminton Club for supporting us with the hire of the sports wheelchairs.
Highlight the accessibility of badminton for all, is an important ethos for our Club. Play Badminton Club has always been an inclusive club, having players of all abilities.
