Sensory Badminton
Every Friday 2pm to 3.30pm Harrow Leisure Centre
In partnership with Sense, a leading national charity helping those living with complex disabilities, Everyone Active, a leading leisure and cultural centres operator, we are excited to launch the Sensory Badminton sessions.
Sensory Badminton allows people with complex disabilities to take part in the sport in a completely accessible, meaningful and person-centred way, with activities being adapted for each individual's needs. Taking part in this activity will help to improve coordination, endurance and confidence.
The session runs from 2pm to 3.30pm every Friday at Harrow Leisure Centre, Christchurch Avenue, Harrow, HA3 5BD. There is no need to book on the session, you can just head to the reception desk on the day.
What is Sensory Badminton?
Sensory Badminton allows people with complex disabilities to take part in the sport in a completely accessible, meaningful and person-centred way, with activities being adapted for each individual's needs. Taking part in this activity will help to improve coordination, endurance and confidence.
This activity is for adults with complex disabilities and/or sensory impairments. You do not need any prior experience. Parents and carers will be expected to support during the session.
The sessions will be led Ashish Patani, a fully qualified badminton coach with great experience in disability sport. He has plenty of knowledge and experience working with people with disabilities, and is friendly, enthusiastic and patient.
