A huge thank you to all who came on Friday 16th December, to support our Club Winter Social.
This year our Club social was also a charity fundraiser for The British Polio Fellowship, whom we have a charity partnership with, to help raiser funds for sports disability and mobility equipment.
Its still not too late to donate something for this worthy cause. We have set-up a just giving page, see link below. Any donation you can give is greatly appreciated and will made a difference to those with polio and post-polio syndrome to live an independent and active life.
Kripen & Linda
A huge thank you to Kripen (CEO) and Linda (Trustee) from The British Polio Fellowship for coming down to our event. Kripen spoke about the wonderful work The Fellowship does to support those affected by polio and post-polio syndrome. Linda shared her own experience of polio at a young age and who the work of the Fellowship had supported her to live an independent life.
Dance team
Well done to Bhavni, Nishi and Meera who started off the evening of dancing with a special performance to a melody of Bollywood songs!
DJ Param
Thank you to DJ Param from Urban Entertainments for keeping us going on the dance floor all evening with wonderful music entertainment.
Lavina & Menal
A huge thank you to our friends, Lavina and Menal, for supporting our event with a sponsor of the raffle prizes as well as a very generous donation towards our fund raising.
Well done all Raffle Prize winners
A huge congrats to Praful for winning the Raffle Grand Prize (now you have no excuse not to come badminton). Many congrats to all the other raffle prize winners. We had 10 wonderful prizes in the raffle.
We also had a guessing game of "Guess the number of shuttles in the box!" Well done to Panth (Jatin's son) for making the closest guess of 325 shuttles. The correct answer was 327!
Other awards included the 2022 Golden Shuttle prizes to Trisha and Chris.
