
First Aid for Sports by Red Cross Training
We would like to encourage more club members to do first aid training. Its a vital skill to have and gives your confidence if ever face with a need for first aid both on or off the badminton court.
We are looking to arrange a training session with Red Cross Training over the summer to take place at Haydon School on a Saturday.
At this stage, we wanted o get an idea of the number of club members who would be interested in doing the first aid training (details below), before we arrange a specific day for the training. So if you are interested, please complete the form below and register your interest.

What will the course cover?
Course title: First Aid for Sports
Duration: 1 day
Contents as follows:
- Unresponsive and breathing child and adult (inc. suspected spinal injury)
- Unresponsive and not breathing child and adult
- Monitoring a casualty
- Choking child and adult
- Shock and internal bleeding
- Hygiene techniques
- Bleeding heavily (limb), crush injuries, amputation, eye injuries, small bruises and wounds,
small blisters and splinters, nosebleed - Burns
- Bone, muscle and joint injuries Broken bones, dislocations, strains and sprains, spinal injury
- Seizures
- Cramp and Achilles tendon injury
- Accident records

How much is the course?
Course fee: £145 per person*
Participants who successfully complete of the course will receive a First Aid Certification which is valid for 3 years.
